PTT18 Carrot Cake Color Challenge

I had never done challenges before and I love how they make creating a card quick and easy.  Party Time Tuesdays, PTT18, came up with the color challenge and the only other requirement is that it has to have happy birthday on the card.  I just got the Curly Cute set from Stampin Up and inked it with pumpkin pie on peach parfait.  The back of the card is soft suede and the designer paper is the hostess level one incolor paper set.  The flower is the stampin up flower burst embosslit.  The bigshot embosses and cuts out the flower.  Super easy!

"Grammy, let's do crafts!"

The crafting will continue through the generations!  I was wondering if it would for awhile.  No one in my family wants to stamp or scrapbook with me except for my dear niece when she has time.  Finally, my little granddaughter will paint, glue, color, and have fun crafting.  So, I have hope.  I am already starting her box of supplies.  Don't you see a card maker in the future? We are going to have tons of fun together!  We already do.

Oldies but goodies!

Sometimes it is fun to pull out the old stamp sets that haven't seen ink for awhile. I love the bird from the Always stamp set.  He has been inked many different colors and Always looks good!  LOL  I think it is fun using stamp sets and making them fit the seasons.

Halloween Build a Bear from a Friend

I received this darling card from one of my stampers last year.  I liked it so much that I saved it with my Halloween decorations.  It was fun to pull out this year and display in my room.  Those bears are so much fun to dress up!  I love the girly bling on the card as that fits my friend, Lu.

Fav Pic, Fav Girl, and Fun with my Regional Goodies

We were given this idea at the stampin up regional I attended Saturday.  I put my twist on it and I might change the pic later to something better related to fall but hey, the colors worked!  I really enjoy how everything is matchy matchy with my stampin up supplies.  It makes it so easy to scrapbook and make cute cards with the scraps.  Plus, I haven't purchased a sticker for a couple of years!  The stamp set used is Day of Gratitude with old olive and cajun craze colors.

Pg 2 of Our Little Pumpkin!

This is the second page of a 2 page layout using a retired SU! scrapbook kit.  My only wish is to have even more available than they already do.  I'm all about quick, easy and super simple.  The clearance rack still has some pretty designer paper on sale until October 18th that I enjoy for both card making and scrapbooking. And now I'm missing my favorite little pumpkin!

How to Scrapbook in 2 minutes or less! aka Our Little Punkin!

I love Stampin UPs scapbook kits.  This is from a retired one I put together in a few minutes a couple of years ago.  I always enjoy the kits and I always purchase some new ones every year.  In fact, as busy as I've become I either use a kit or it doesn't get done.  Having everything match our stamp colors and card stock extends the use of the kits.  They are so easy to use. This is our granddaughter 2 years ago at age 2.  She is full of fun, energy and personality.  She's our little pumpkin.

Trendy Trees Male Card

I have a couple male birthdays coming up so I had fun designing birthday cards today without the usual girly bling.  My favorite brother loves fall in the midwest so this will remind him of home.  Oh... yeah... he is my only brother!  I wanted him to know how special he is to me so he'll be getting a birthday greeting from me soon.
Stamp sets: Trendy Trees and On Your Birthday
Cardstock: saffron, crumb cake, retired autumn dp
Ink: Saffron and Choc chip
Embellishments: twine and a brown brad

Extreme Skateboard, Extreme Elements, Extremely Great Nephew!

This card was just too fun to create.  I purchased Extreme Skateboard just for my nephew who loves to skateboard.  I broke out the extreme elements stamp set to design a card for him.  He is a greatly appreciative teen and I can't wait to mail it to him.  He is an awesome kid.
Ink & Cardstock: pacific point, black and whisper white
BigShot Top Note Die, turned and cut twice
This is a challenge for Party Time Tuesday

Super quick, super easy, perfect punches

These cards are super quick and easy.  Sometimes I don't have the time to spend making a detailed card so these fit the bill.  The white is embossed with the new northern flurry embossing folder. I punched out the Joy from the scalloped Joy stamp and added a new glimmer brad on each card. The top card uses the new poppy parade and the bottom card is made with marina mist.
Cardstock: whisper white, poppy parade, marina mist
Ink: poppy parade, marina mist
Tools: circle punch, northern flurry embossing folder
Embellishments: glimmer brads

Morning Cup PaperCutz Challenge #61

This is for PaperCutz Challenge #61 to use 3 patterned papers on your card.  The sweet coffee cup is from the stamp set Morning Cup from Stampin' UP!  The patterned papers are all from the Sending Love designer paper that is from the clearance rack SU sale going on right now.  I used the new clearlit scallop rectangle from page 211 in the new catalog.  It is so handy to stamp first and then be able to see exactly where you want to cut your image out.  I was drinking my favorite french vanilla coffee this morning when I saw the challenge which led me to the coffee cup image.
